There are hundreds of videos that show tractor tricks, tractor swag and the tractor life.
You can admit to TikTok watching. This is a safe place. My wife began watching TikTok videos on a regular basis. She has a lot of self-care tips and dance challenges. Yet, I was only just made aware of the “Indian Farmer TikTok”, or IFTT, as it is commonly known.
These freewheeling, tractor-stunting Indian farmers are like whips being ghost-ridden or performing dangerous high-speed tricks in Saudi Arabia. They have a lot to be proud of: These Indian farmers are extremely skilled and obsessed with their farm equipment.
TikToker Nadeem5023 is the curator of these surprising videos. His channel features hundreds of videos showing farm equipment in hilarious use.
This is Indian vehicular modification culture at its best. All these heavily customized tractor models have massive, improvised sound systems. Speakers are daisy-chained behind the driver and stack behind him. Many tractors also have elements that are derived from the lowrider or import tuner scene, such as aftermarket rims (spinners), steering wheels, graphics and paint jobs.
Oh, and wheelie bars. The main event of the genre is a tractor wheelie with two-wheeled spins, lots of dust, and a large, well-constructed tractor. Although I don’t know what the learning curve is for this type of work, it’s obvious these guys are skilled (if only they could get helmets).
You can scroll down to see some of our favorite tractor videos or jump over TikTok to dive deeper into the IFTT pool. You should also follow the TikTok account, which has less crazy but more automotive-oriented content.
