Volkswagen will be exhibiting the new Polo (Indian-spec) model at the New Delhi Auto Expo.

The Polo was already shown at the Geneva Motor Show. However, this is the first time that the car has been displayed for Indian customers. The Polo will come with two 1.2-liter engines and is expected to launch in March. The petrol engine produces 75 horsepower and 110 Nm torque. The diesel unit generates 75 HP and 180 Nm torque.

The Polo Cup racer is of even greater interest. The Polo Cup’s 130 horsepower and 250 Nm torque engine is a 1.6-liter R4 commonrail diesel (CRD). It will race its debut in June. VW fitted the Polo Cup with a six speed manual transmission, adjustable Sachs racing suspension, an aerodynamic kit that includes a front spoiler, rear spoiler, aggressive side skirts and subtle rear wing, a six point harness, integrated head protection, a roll cage approved by FIA, a fire suppression system and a high-performance braking system.
