Johan de Nysschen told Automotive Newsyesterday that Infiniti will be introducing four new models with new engines and transmissions. This expanded lineup will allow Infiniti to be a premium luxury brand. The Q50 sports sedan, which was recently unveiled at the NAIAS Detroit, is paving the way.
Infiniti will also renew all nameplates within its U.S. lineup, and will use diesel engines by Daimler. Daimler architecture will also be used for the Etherea production premium compact model. He said that Infiniti will be introducing new sedans, crossovers, and “seductively” performance cars.
