The 50th anniversary of the sedan is being celebrated by a tuning studio.

AvtoVAZ’s first production model was the Lada 21101, a compact sedan that was produced between 1970 and 1988. It was essentially a modified Fiat 124 that was tailored to the needs and requirements of the Soviet Union, and the Eastern Bloc. This vehicle was a modest car and arguably the cheapest new car in Britain after imports began in 1974.

Although the original interior design of the 124 was elegant, Lada made some modifications to it and it resulted in a cabin that was somewhat less expensive. As a tribute to the sedan’s 50th birthday, a tuning studio from Bulgaria decided to give the 2101 a stylish makeover. We can only say that the work was amazing. The entire disassembly and sound insulation of the cabin was the first step. The tuners designed a custom center console to house an aftermarket stereo system. Below it is the leather-wrapped shifter. Further down, you’ll find an aluminum badge that shows the build date and owner’s name.

The interior was modified to the nth degree. The only thing that remains unchanged are the central air vents. The seats were made from Toyota vehicles and wrapped in brown leather with contrast white stitching. These unique features include aluminum pedal covers, retro-looking wooden steering wheels, and white gauges.

The whole project took four months for the Bulgarian team to complete. It’s not something you can buy. The Autoclub.bg reports that this is a one-off project.
