This particular car is far more than a BMW. The Alpina-tuned version of the E24 6 Series made 326 horsepower thanks a variety of performance modifications. This car had special paint, special stripes and, in the case of this car a Tartan interior that would make any Volkswagen enthusiast smile.
According to the dealer, this green car has driven 32,210 km, or roughly 20,000 miles. The car is listed as number 25 in a global build of 30 cars. It is believed to only be one of two with the plaid interior. We are not convinced that the dealer claims that the car has ever been outside, although it is claimed that the car never spent a night outdoors. This car is extremely rare and in excellent condition with very low mileage. Although the car’s green exterior with its gold stripes and plaid interior may not be for everyone, it is a great choice for those who love vintage BMW Alpina cars. It is a rare collectible that will fetch a lot of money.
Yet, $300,000.00 is still a lot of money for this car. We did some internet research to find comparable models and found a four-door from 1982 that had 82,000 miles. It was $110,000 last year. A Bring A-Trailer referenceto coupe was also discovered on eBay in 2011. However, the original auction posting has long since disappeared. Also, we don’t have much to compare.
