Although these cars are meant to transport organs for transplantation, driving one of these cars out of the house must still be a lot of fun.
The Polizia will receive a second Lamborghini Huracan from the Italian supercar manufacturer. Bologna’s Highway Patrol will use the coupe’s high speed capabilities in emergency situations, as well as as as a transporter of organs. For this crucial job, resumes will be flooding in. According to the Polizia the Huracan will be able to take part in regular police operations.
The Polizia’s Huracan has a body made in light blue and white letters, according to the customary shade used by the Italian police. Each side of the supercar is adorned with a stripe that displays the three colors of the Italian flag. Blue-tinted sidewalls match the body of the P Zero Pirelli tires. The 602-horsepower, 449-kilowatt, 5.2-liter V10 engine still provides power. It is connected to an all-wheel drive system.
This Huracan is perfect for high-speed, police operation thanks to its extensive collection of custom equipment. There’s also a tablet that can be used to assist law enforcement and a bank with lights. A video camera and recording equipment are used to monitor the activities of police officers. The storage area at the front houses a refrigerated section that can be used to transport organs and blood for transplantation. A defibrillator onboard can save those with heart problems.
Lamborghini has had a close relationship with the Polizia. The company donated a Huracan in 2015 to the Highway Patrol of Rome. The Italian automaker donated a Gallardo in 2008 to the police force. This replaced two other examples of the model that had performed similar duties for the officers. It must have been a highly sought-after job for officers to be allowed to drive one.
