Italian Shop Transforms Ram 1500 Into Ultra-Opulent SUV

The center console has a hidden coffeemaker, so you always have caffeine on hand.

These days, automakers make very luxurious pickup trucks like the $62,000 Ford F-150 Limited. But Aznom Automotive in Italy is now the best with the Atulux. This stands for All-Terrain Utility Luxe. The firm transforms the pickup from a previous-generation RAM 1500 into an elegant SUV. Although there is only enough space for two people in the back, the couple enjoys luxurious surroundings such as a coffee maker and a center console that rises.

Atulux’s retains many of the older Ram 1500 design cues such as the crosshair grille. The company has a small trunk at the back that gives it a look similar to the Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury Concept.

The SUV retains Ram’s 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 396 horsepower (295 megawatts). Aznom strengthens the frame and adds larger brakes to the front, including eight-piston disc brakes. Air suspension gives the vehicle a smooth ride and adds sound deadening to keep it quiet.

The Atulux covers the interior, especially the back, and cossets them. The interior is upholstered in Nubuck leather, with the exception of the roof. Alcantara sections add another layer of texture. The console also houses two whiskey decanters and a refrigerator in the back. Roof-mounted displays can be connected to an Xbox One and a 10-speaker stereo is available for entertainment on the road. Below is a video that shows the onboard coffee maker.

These luxury vehicles are built by many European companies. However, they often use vans such as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to start. The builders based the Atulux Aznom upon a Ram 1500 to give it a little more off-road capability. This would be a comfortable expedition into the wilderness.
