We love it.
Castagna Milano may not be the most well-known name in the tuning industry, but we have seen some interesting projects from this Milan-based company. For example, the Fiat 500 convertible, stretch limo and the Rolls Royce-based coupe that were built a decade ago. These builds will give you an idea of the Italian tuner’s plans, but Castagna is now teasing a new project that could be Castagna’s most wildest.
The tuning company shared CGIs of an Audi A8-based rugged wagon, with a 12-cylinder engine as well as a Quattro all wheel drive, through its Facebook channel. It is likely that the vehicle uses the A8 from the previous generation as its base. The graphics on the headlights indicate this.
Castagna Milano gave the luxury sedan a new roofline in a traditional wagon shape. He also added Allroad-inspired touches such as silver roof rails and black plastic cladding to the wheel arches, side sills and bumpers. The rear doors clearly show that the car was originally a sedan, but Castagna Milano gave it a new roofline with a traditional wagon shape and added Allroad-inspired touches like the silver roof rails, black plastic cladding for the wheel arches and side sills, as well as aluminum accents for the front and rear bumpers.
This is a very early stage in development, and the company has yet to reveal more information about the project. The rugged wagon will likely be entirely made of aluminum (all A8s have an all-aluminum body), with carbon fiber possibly being used for the extended roof. W12 stands for Audi’s 6.3-liter FSI 12 cylinder engine. It is capable of 493 horsepower (368 kilowatts), and 461 pound-feet (625 Newton meters) of torque in its stock form.
Keep checking back as we will be sharing more information about Castagna Milano’s A8 wagon over the next few weeks.
