Ja Morant, NBA star, surprises his dad with a Dodge Charger Hellcat

It appears to be the one with 707 horsepower.

A year ago, Temetrius Jamel Jamel “Ja” Morant signed the first professional contract. The Memphis Grizzlies drafted him second in the NBA draft 2019. He signed a two-year contract worth $17,897.040. He scored his first ever career triple-double seven months later in a 106 to 99 win over the Washington Wizards. It is safe to say that Morant owes much of his success to Tee Morant, his father and coach during college. A brand new car is a great way to say thanks.

Ja Morant purchased this car for his father. It’s not any car, but a brand new Dodge Charger Hellcat. The one with 707 horsepower (520kilowatts) has a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration of just 3.6 seconds. A Twitter video shows Tee Morant’s reaction when he received the gift. To say that he was shocked would be an understatement. After seeing the car, he couldn’t stand straight up.

NBA specialists and analysts noticed the gesture. “That’s what it all boils down to young fella… taking good care of those who have taken care of you. Kendrick Perkins (ex-NBA player, ESPN analyst) tweeted, “Love it!” Morrant’s father Ray Allen, a Pro Basketball Hall of Fame player and high school teammate, was Morrant’s dad. His son is now a skilled NBA player. Amen!
