It would be powered by the same supercharged V8 of 5.0 liters as the F-Type.
Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations division (SVO) is preparing something great. The success of the F Type SVR, Range Rover SV has led to the British marque focusing on its newest model, XE.
AutoExpress states that the XE’s supercharged 5.0-liter V8 could produce upwards of 500 horsepower (372kilowatts) according to . This performance would place it in direct competition with the BMW M3 (425 horsepower) and Mercedes-AMG C63 ( 469 horsepower). According to reports, the SVO engineering team is currently in Northern Spain comparing the sports sedan with these two competitors.
The XE SVR, like the Range Rover and F-Type, would use a similar four-wheel-drive system. This could add 110 pounds (50 kg) to the curb weight of 3,320 lbs (1,505 kg). The chassis would be stiffer, and the electronic controlled limited-slip rear differential would add to its rigidity. There will also be revisions to the springs, dampers, and suspension. You will see the eight-speed automatic and six-speed manual offered.
Exterior would see a more aggressive facelift, with flared fenders and more assertive bumpers. A distinctive grille would also be added. The update will likely include new wheels, a lower center-of-gravity, and a rear wings for increased downforce.
The new V8 engine and all-wheel drive should allow the XE SVR to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than four seconds. This is more than the 336-horsepower (250 watt) XE S. It also surpasses the current XE S’s current 5.1 second.
The XE SVR will make its debut mid-cycle of the sedan’s lifecycle. It is estimated to cost around $80,000 ($65,000).
