Finally, an E-Type with decent braking!
We need to be clear about one thing. There is a distinction between hot rod or restomod. While the former uses original parts made by the automaker, the latter relies on modified parts that can fit into stock locations. The tuning company or the owner can either replace the parts or return it to stock. The industry has grown from a handful of niche companies that sold digital gauges and air conditioning kits to a new aftermarket market. This makes classic cars both reliable and practical for long-distance travels and a great daily driver.
Let’s now take a look at the options we have for you. This Jaguar E-Type is a restored Jaguar E-Type that now has a 6.1-liter V12 fuel-injected motor. It produces almost 300 horsepower (224kilowatts), which is channeled to rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
E-Type UK is the company that was responsible for this project. They have also installed a custom stainless-steel exhaust system, comfortable leather seats, premium sound system, and an engine start-stop button. The adjustable suspension is also available, along with four-pot AP Racing brakes. The project required more than 3,000 man hours to complete.
It’s not exactly the same thing mechanically, but that’s okay. This is all that we love about E-Type combined with modern technology. This is perfection.
