Ken Okuyama is best known for creating the Ferrari Enzo. But his design firm is also producing small runs of beautiful machines such as the Kode57. One of these sports cars is now on display at Jay Leno’s Garage. Okuyama discusses the vehicle’s styling with the comedian.
Modern and retro, the Kode57 is a great choice. The Kode57’s design is in perfect sync with today’s boutique supercars, but the concept of a front-engined roadster goes back to the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. It should be able to keep up with all hypercars, even the top ones. Because the power comes from a Novitec tuned 6.0-liter V12 with 692 horsepower. It also has 473 pound-feet.
Leno has made it clear that you won’t find a straight line within the Kode57’s body. These panels are made of a lot of carbon fiber and have a curvaceous design that is addictive to look at.
