This car now has the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 engine.
Jay Leno arrives to this year’s SEMA show with a 1968 Ford Bronco Restomod and an interesting story. Craig Ferguson, former host of The Late Late Show, gave Leno the SUV as a joke due to its poor condition. After years of sitting in Leno’s garage, Ferguson teamed up Ford Performance and SEMA Garage for the revival of the decrepit vehicle.
The Bronco was purchased to be used on the farm and to accompany your date to prom. It was comfortable in all these situations. Leno stated that his Bronco was an upgraded Bronco with modern handling, performance, and braking.
The 5.2-liter supercharged V8 is now available in this Bronco’s Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The engine is fitted with a custom exhaust and airbox. A new radiator, engine oil cooler and supercharger cooling system are installed to handle the heat. The engine’s power is transmitted through a 5-speed Tremec gearbox. The extra power can be handled by a heavy-duty four-wheel drive system. It has Wilwood brakes to slow it down and a Fox 2.0 coilover suspension. The SUV is equipped with 18-inch wheels and BFGoodrich tires.Ford collaborated with its licensees in order to obtain a new frame for the restoration. Although there are minor modifications to the exterior to make the parts compatible with modern components, these are not significant enough to be difficult to spot unless you’re very familiar with Broncos. The vehicle is finished with Tonight Blue Envirobase paint and a white roof, wheels, grille, and grille. This color combination looks great on the SUV.
Leno’s Bronco’s interior features an Eagle Ottawa leather upholstery. Dakota Digital gauges replace original components and there’s also a Sony stereo.
