A Grand Cherokee powered by Demons could be the ultimate performance SUV.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee has a new generation, but spy shots show that the Trackhawk may have a special edition before the next-gen model arrives. We are speculating that this is a Demon variant.
Although the photos show the Jeep modified from the front, there is a noticeable change. The modified hood of this Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has a large bulge. Although the central section appears to have a scoop, the image shows the element closed off. This could indicate that the piece is still being developed.
This vehicle has no visible modifications. It’s parked next to what appears like a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, with the SRT badge missing from the grille.
Trackhawk News:
It’s sat next to what looks like a Demon so we wonder if the Grand Cherokee has the supercharged 808-horsepower (603 kilowatts) V8. The hood scoop could be opened to allow more air to flow to the powerful powerplant.
If this is true, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be the ultimate performance SUV. It would be able to surpass models such as the Lamborghini Urus, which produces 641 horsepower (478 kW), and the Bentley Bentayga Speed, which produces 626 horsepower (467 kW).
Jeep must sell the hotter Trackhawk quickly if it wants to sell it. According to reports, the next-gen Grand Cherokee will be available for purchase in 2021. This time frame only allows the automaker to bring this model to showrooms in a few months.
