Jeep announced that the Wagoneer would be getting a plug in hybrid powertrain in its 2018 product plan. According to this source, the SUV can travel approximately 30 miles (48 km) on one charge. It is said to use the same eight-speed auto gearbox as , the plug-in hybrid Wrangler. According to this source, the PHEV Wagoneer will arrive one year after the debut of the combustion-powered model.

According to the source, Grand Wagoneer also has a luxurious cabin. The digital instrument cluster would have a 12-inch frameless layout and a head-up display. The front passenger also has a customizable screen that can be used on the road. There’s also an optional entertainment system for the rear passengers. A rear-facing camera display would also be available in the rearview mirror.

Jeep is rumored to offer premium materials for the Wagoneer’s interior. The Wagoneer’s cabin will feature leather upholstery as well as a mixture of aluminum and wooden trim. This sounds like a great place to go on a road trip, or even off-roading.

Jeep delayed the Grand Wagoneer’s debut and Grand Cherokee’s unveiling from their original plans of displaying them at the Detroit Auto Show in June, before the event was cancelled.
