Jeep Wrangler invites you to show off your colors.
The Motor City Pride Parade starts this weekend, September 18. It will take place at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit. A parade is incomplete without a lead vehicle. What is the grand marshal vehicle of 2021? It’s the Jeep Wrangler 4-xe.
It won’t just be a regular Wrangler4xe, but one that has been pulled from the showroom. This is the Pride Parade. This is the occasion that the Wrangler will be leading the crowd wears a special costume. Stellantis employees and Jeep Brand social media followers wrap the Wrangler 4xe with messages of acceptance, hope, and encouragement.
Jim Morrison, vice-president of Jeep North America, stated that “Motor City Pride” is an important way for Stellantis to recognize our inclusive work culture and show our commitment towards our diverse communities.
Morrison said, “Over its 80-year history Jeep has been a leader in freedom and authenticity. We are proud to lead this years parade with a specially wrapped Jeep Wrangler 4xe as a sign of our longstanding support for Motor City Pride, the LGBTQ community, and Motor City Pride.”
The Wrangler 4xe wrapped Jeep won’t be all that’s there for the weekend’s celebrations. Along with the Wrangler 4xe, a Gladiator will be accompanying the lead vehicle. Also, the Grand Cherokee L will be there. Other Jeeps will wear pride colors during the parade. The Gladiator, the second Wranger 4xe and the Grand Cherokee L will proudly display the LGBTQ+ colors on the seven-slot grilles.
The march will not be just a celebration for Michigan’s LGBTQ+ community. The parade pays tribute to Detroit’s indispensable workers, who have kept the city running despite all the difficulties.
