Stellantis has announced a three-year partnership to (RED) in order to raise funds to combat global health emergencies. Stellantis has introduced several products with (RED) branding across its portfolio, including Ram and Fiat. Jeep was also included. The brand will introduce a new (RED-branded Renegade model for the 2022 model years, the second such product.
Jeep’s new Renegade Red Special Edition crossover is now available. It joins the (RED-branded) Compass, which was announced last year. Jeep’s new Renegade is based on its popular Latitude trim and features a variety of visual enhancements. The crossover comes with 19-inch Granite Crystal aluminum tires, black roof rails and Colorado Red mirror caps.
The interior is a little more subtle with the model featuring black cloth bucket seats with Ski Gray Stitching. Trailhawk Ruby Red speakers and vent bezels add a splash of color. The steering wheel and shifter are covered in leather, while the 8.4-inch touchscreen on the dash gives you access to the infotainment systems. Stellantis’ Uconnect4 software is included.
The (RED) Jeep Renegade’s turbocharged 1.3-liter four cylinder powers the vehicle. It pumps power through a nine speed automatic gearbox to Jeep’s Active Drive full time 4×4 system via a nine-speed transmission. It produces 170 horsepower (126 Kilowatts) as well as 210 pound-feet (284 Newton meters) of torque.
The Renegade Red Special Edition will be available in four exterior paint colors: Alpine Black, Colorado Red and Sting Gray. The special-edition model can be ordered from Jeep dealers now and has a MSRP starting at $31,185. This includes the $1,595 destination fee. Jeep doesn’t say when the new Renegade is due to arrive. However, it has stated that the Compass Red Special Edition will be available in the first quarter 2022 and the Renegade “soon thereafter.” Q1 will end in two weeks.
Jeep also introduced (RED-branded) versions of the Fiat 500, and the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited. Stellantis has over two years to finish its partnership. We should expect more (RED-branded) products from its various brands. Over the next two-and a half years, the partnership will bring more than $4million to the Global Fund.
