Jeep Trackhawk Vs Lamborghini Urus in Super SUV Drag Race

Which SUV is the fastest in this age of high-performance SUVs?

It’s not hard to see that SUVs have become increasingly popular to the point where brands are choosing to sell these high-riding vehicles over the more traditional cars. This rise in popularity has also led to the rise of performance SUVs, which we believe is inevitable. But,

A drag race was held between high-riders in before , especially between a Tesla Model X and Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes-AMG G63 and a Land Rover Range Rover SVR. That one went to EV with its instantaneous torque, but Urus won the battle between non-electric SUVs.

Jeep Trackhawk Vs Lamborghini Urus in Super SUV Drag Race

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk was not present at that drag race. Although the Hellcat-powered SUV has been subject to numerous drag races, this was the first time we would see it against the Urus.

It’s nearly an equal match on paper, even if you don’t consider their price. The Trackhawk is equipped with a supercharged Hemi-V8 engine of 6.2-liters, which is the same engine as the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The ratings of the Trackhawk are identical – 707 horsepower and 645 pounds-feet torque.

Now imagine if it’s the Upcoming Urus Performante that’s running on this race:

The Lamborghini Urus is powered by a twin-turbo V8 4.0L producing 650 horsepower and 627 lbft of torque. The Urus, a 600-pound lighter than the Trackhawk, is a worthy underdog in comparison to American competitors. This is especially important for straight-line races.

Both cars claimed a time of 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Which car is faster in drag racing? To find out, watch the video at the top of the page. It starts around the 6 minute mark.
