You can’t buy some of the features in the conceptual off-roader, but you can get others.
Jeep’s star will be undoubtedly the Gladiator at the SEMA Show, but it won’t be the only model that will be sporting the seven-slot grille at Las Vegas Convention Center from November 5 to 8. The Wrangler, the pickup’s main model, will be present in a Moparized version to showcase some of the cool features that can be fitted to a concept car.
The Wrangler is one of 14 custom vehicles that Mopar will display. It has been fitted with the handy tube mirrors and skins. The reputable off-roader is built in Rubicon specifications and features a stamped steel front bumper with integrated fog lamps. The bumper can be used on regular Wranglers, but it is not allowed on SEMA-bound showcars. It must have tow hooks at the top and D rings attachments at bottom.
Mopar has made the Jeep stand out from a regular Wrangler by adding a two-inch lift kit to give it more off-road capabilities. The cold air intake and winch kit round out the upgrades. This is for those who want to explore the roads less traveled.
What else is coming to SEMA 2019?
You may be aware that Jeep has added the long-awaited diesel engine to its Wrangler lineup as a $6,000 variant. The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 EcoDiesel is only available with the eight speed automatic transmission. It produces 260 horsepower and 442 pounds-feet (600 Newton meters) of torque. The exterior will look almost identical to the gasoline-powered version with the exception of a small badge at its back.
A Star Wars-themed Wrangler stormtrooper edition may also be in the works, according to recent spy photos, but nothing is yet official.
