Jeep Wrangler V8 is Going into Production: Report

According to Toledo, OH’s factory, it has built around 30 prototypes.

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon392 Concept was unveiled on the same day that the Ford Bronco was unveiled. There were many dubious responses. According to an insider, around 30 V8-powered Wrangler were produced at the Toledo Jeep factory.

Concepts are usually one-off vehicles. There are greater chances of seeing production versions if the factory builds so many prototypes.

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept’s 6.4-liter V8 produces 450 horsepower (336 Kilowatts) as well as 450 pound-feet (609 Newton-meters). It is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a Selec-Track four-wheel-drive system. The power is handled by Dana 44 axles, with locking differentials at each end.

Jeep modifies the suspension to make it more realistic. It is equipped with 17-inch beadlock wheels and 37-inch mudterrain tires.

Jeep executives have been minimizing the possibility of a V8-powered Wrangler for a long. It’s hard to believe this vehicle is actually going into production. The company announced the Rubicon 392 concept with an upgraded engine mount and modified frame. These modifications may be more extensive than the company claims.

It’s difficult to believe that the Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept will be available for sale. The Jeep factory in Toledo is busy with adding the turbodiesel to the Gladiator pickup, and introducing a 4XE plug-in hybrid Wrangler .
