These are some of the legitimate selling points. Others you can debate.

The Ford Bronco is the first real competitor to the Jeep Wrangler in quite some time. The Bronco6G forum has uncovered a new pamphlet that gives a glimpse at how Jeep salespeople prepare to sell their off-roader in order to compete with the new model.

It is not clear if this document comes from FCA at a corporate level, or if it is from a dealer helping to counter buyers who have questions about the Bronco. Motor1.com reached FCA for comment.

The Bronco is briefly described on the first page. The Wrangler’s history is the main focus. The brochure notes that the Bronco is back after many years, while Jeep has been a leader in this market for decades.

Next page explains more about the Wrangler. Some of the selling points include the diesel engine, fold down windshield, optional power top and more deals-available accessories.

However, there are other elements that are subjective. The pamphlet, for example, notes that the Wrangler’s beltline is lower than the average and claims this results in better outward visibility. This may be true, but only sitting in one of the vehicles would confirm it. Photos also show that the difference in height between the beltlines is not significant.

You can also argue whether Jeep’s mirrors sticking with the doors while removing them is an advantage or not. This pamphlet does rightly state that the Wrangler is narrower off-road if it doesn’t have the mirrors. Many people want to ride the Wrangler with the doors open on the street. Keeping the mirrors allows for better visibility in the Bronco.

The pamphlet also highlights the Wrangler392 Concept. Although all signs point to Jeep building the V8-powered model soon, it is not yet known when. It is not clear if it will be available for sale next year when the Bronco arrives.

This document shows the benefits of the Wrangler’s front axle and the Bronco’s independent suspension for off-roading. The Ford’s layout is more suitable for drivers on the road. It’s not susceptible to death wobble as the Wrangler.

The Bronco is a formidable opponent to Jeep, and it’s worth watching the battle between them when the Bronco goes on sale. Buyers should be happy with the intense competition, as both automakers want the best entry in the segment.
