This Bronco is a great modified Bronco and might be a bargain.
Jenson Button was involved in the design process for the Lotus Type 62-2 By Radford. We know that Jenson Button, 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, loves cars that are fast and look great. Although he is 41 years old, the British racing driver has a love for classic and modified cars. However, he would like to sell his beloved vehicle.
This machine is a modified first-generation. Ford Bronco Produced for the 1970 model year. After a restoration and upgrade, it has been kept in Button’s garage the past four years. It rides on Method black alloy wheels with BFGoodrich 35-inch tires. It looks largely stock from the outside but has some nice visual enhancements such as the gloss black wheel arch extensions, and dark blue exterior color.
The engine is a small-block, naturally aspirated 302 cubic inch (4.9-liter) engine. It sends power to all four wheels via a three-speed auto gearbox. Upgrades include Fitech fuel injection, Edelbrock filter and MSD ignition kit that allows for push-button starting. A new battery supplies the energy needed to start the big engine.
Bronco’s ad on CollectingCars states that there is no previous service history. However, all documents from the restoration/modification process are available. There aren’t any known accidents damages. However, there are some small marks on the paintwork. The seller states that this is a “very usable and presentable classic.”
This Bronco looks solid from what we can see, without actually seeing it in person. It has a good pedigree and some nice modifications. We are not surprised that only two bids have been made on the online auction platform. However, there are six days remaining before the auction ends and the price could rise significantly.
