Duke boys, eat your heart!

Robby Gordon created the Stadium Super Trucks series in 2013. He is a man who has had great success behind the wheel many different types of race cars. He has been a driver in Indycar and NASCAR but is best known for his time in offroad racing. It was created to produce fast, intense racing with high intensity and it has been a huge success.

Contact is frowned upon in series such as Formula 1 or Indycar, which have open-wheel designs. However, it is commonplace for Super Trucks. This series combines the best parts of stock car racing and off-road racing into one of our favorite racing series.

The series has a relaxed approach to contact and the same attitude toward track limits. These vehicles are off-road, which allows drivers to explore new areas and expand the track beyond what is possible with other series. This bumper cam video shows us two- and three-wide racing in Road America areas that would otherwise be considered impossible.

Although NASCAR’s high contact nature is not new, Stadium Super Trucks has an off-road DNA that allows for driving characteristics never before seen on roads. The great thing about these trucks’ massive suspension travel is their ability to overstate the weight transfer in racing situations. These trucks are often seen on two wheels, accelerating in tight corners and diving under brakes. They also frequently bang doors and fight for the same track.

Gordon also suggested the addition of jumps to race courses. These jumps add drama to the series. Jumps can cause a lot of carnage in a race. There are often roll-overs and collisions mid-air if drivers get off-line into the jumps.

Super Truck racing is full of excitement and carnage. We’d love to hear from you about Stadium Super Trucks.
