Karma Revero GTS Launches with More Range, and Goes from 0-60 in 3.9 Seconds

Production will begin in the first quarter of next year.

Fisker Karma’s old sedan has never looked better. This is not the Fisker Karma. This is the Karma Revero. However, its lineage dates back to when Karma was the cars’ names. The Revero GTS is a more powerful version of the Revero GT that was revealed at Auto Shanghai in China earlier this year.

Karma CEO Dr. Lance Zhou stated that the Karma Revero GTS was a continuation of our ultimate luxury electric Revero GT. The GTS adds to our expanding product line by providing enhanced performance for driving enthusiasts. Our $100-million-dollar Karma Innovation and Customization Center in Southern California hand-builds all our vehicles. This allows customers to customize and personalize their vehicle.

What makes the GTS different from the GTS? The GTS cuts half a second off the sprint from 60 mph to 60 mph. The Revero GTS takes just 3.9 seconds to complete the trip. With the accelerator securely pinned, it will pull up to a electronically limited top speed limit of 130 mph. The car’s upgraded electronics, including Karma’s in-house converters that convert DC power from batteries to AC power for dual electric motors, are responsible for the speed bump. A single-speed gearbox gives power and a torque vectoring system directs it where it is most useful.

This increases the vehicle’s range by a significant amount. When the Revero GTS uses its three-cylinder, BMW-sourced engine to produce electricity, it can travel 380 miles. The Revero GTS can travel 80 miles on a fully charged battery pack. This is without the engine ever starting. The Revero GT’s total output remains the same 536 horsepower, making the GTS performance enhancements even more impressive.

The Revero’s sleek exterior is dressed up with carbon fiber trim. It also features redesigned body panels everywhere. The interior has been updated with new seats and ventilation for the front seat, as well as a new center console. You’ll find a lot of new technology, such as blind-spot monitoring or cross-traffic detection. Karma can now provide over-the-air updates and there is a brand new stereo system.

Karma reports that the Revero GTS can be pre-ordered now at $149.950. Production is expected to start in the first quarter 2020. You can view it at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show through December 1.
