TKR reached a speed of 260.1 mph during its first run on the Salt Lake Flats, California.
After its debut at London’s MPH09 last week, Keating supercars announced plans to confirm the world record for fastest car with their TKR supercar.
Although details are scarce, the TKR is powered with a 7.0-liter engine producing 1800 bhp. Keating is not giving any details but sources suggest that the engine is based upon the LS7 of the Chevrolet Corvette. (This makes sense as the image is a badly-cropped GM Press photo).
TKR’s first run on the Salt Lake Flats in California saw it reach 260.1 mph. This was 3 mph more than the Ultimate Aero, and 7 mph faster that the Bugatti Veyron. The Guinness Book of World Records will award the title of the fastest production car if the car achieves the same feat.
Tony Keating, the founder of Keating Supercars based out Manchester, stated that “The Keating TKR is our realization of our ambition to compete against the best supercars in the world and win.” This car is a contender for performance, looks and exclusivity. It’s British, and that’s the best part.
