Ken Block Was Hesitant To Drift His Audi RS E-Tron GT

Without a handbrake, it’s difficult.

It is easier to drive conventional cars equipped with mechanical handbrakes than newer models with electronic parking brakes. This is the professional rally driver and certified Hoonigan Ken Block.

Block’s latest video is part of his Electric Fleet series. He shares his doubts about drifting his new customized Audi RS E-Tron GT. Block relies on handbrakes to slide as he pleases.

That’s only the beginning of the video. The rest of the “first Drift Video” was pure entertainment of listening to the screeching rubber.

Block had a lot of experience going sideways and was able to drive the Audi EV. Block was able to do big slides, figures of eight and donuts with a passenger. Block claimed that the car tried so hard to stop him sliding, but it was a breeze for the DC Shoes co-founder and driver Hoonigan.

Block’s wheels were custom made by Rotiform. They are six-spoke NGO-designed and aerodisc-style Aerodisc models at each end. All four wheels are covered in Toyo Sport tires.

Block’s Audi RS E-Tron GT mechanicals are still in stock, at least for the moment. The dual-motor electric powertrain system produces 590 horsepower (440 Kilowatts) as well as 612 pound-feet (830 Newton meters) of torque. Temporarily, the system can boost the output to 637 horsepower (475 kilowatts).

Block left Ford in 2021 and signed with Audi to promote the electric car brand’s electric vehicles. Block will be able to see the special Audi S1E-Tro Quattro Honitron that the German company has built for him. This video will appear in the next Gymkhana Video Electrikhana.
