It is currently being tested in South Korea.
The debut for the 2020 Kia Cadenza was held at the Chicago Auto Show, just before the United States was shut down by the coronavirus. The sedan received a few significant improvements, but there is still much work to be done if it wants the segment to stay competitive.
According to reports, another facelift is planned. Although we haven’t seen any prototypes tested on US soil, there are several test cars being driven around South Korea. Some of the cars have been seen with heavy camouflage which suggests that there are more changes in the future.
To give you a preview of what the sedan will look like, we have updated renderings. These images were created by a Korean YouTube channel and show a more aggressive Cadenza model than the one that was unveiled in Chicago in February. You should pay attention to several other changes.
The grille appears to be larger than it was before. The car’s new mesh pattern gives it a premium appearance and makes it look more aggressive. The bumper features Kia’s new logo.
Further down on the front fascia are two new headlights and daytime running LEDs. The lower bumper section is also new.
Unfortunately, we don’t know a lot about the refreshed Cadenza. Although it could be available in South Korea as early as next year, we don’t anticipate seeing it in the United States until 2022. Although we can’t predict whether there will be any mechanical changes, our assumption is that the sedan with its 3.3-liter V6 engine producing 290 horsepower will continue to operate.
