For long road trips, the second row seats are ideal.
Based on the automaker’s revamped Carnival minivan, the Kia Carnival Hi-Limousine arrived earlier in this month with a high roof, fancy second-row seats, and a stylish roof. The seven-seater people mover is featured in a new video by Asian Petrolhead. The video highlights all the extras Kia has added to the vehicle and comments on the comfort of the second-and third-row seats.
The Carnival Hi-Limousine is distinguished by its second-row captain chairs. Kia’s Premium Relaxation Seat, which can be reclined for maximum comfort and includes a leg rest, is also a standout feature. Additional creature comforts include a 21.5-inch LCD monitor, which allows onboard entertainment via either a USB port or HDMI port. Second-row passengers also have heated-and-cooled cup holders as well as an air purifier for longer flights. A large overhead LED light is hidden under the roof. The roof’s pop-out adjustable reading lamps are one of the most interesting lighting features. The third-row seats are also more comfortable due to the high roof. However, there is less legroom as this vehicle is still a minivan or “Grand Utility Vehicle”, as Kia called it. Some interior materials have a minivan-like feel. Although the lower portion of the doors and pillars is made from plastic, they are not areas that passengers will touch often.
The Carnival Hi-Limousine will not be available in the United States. The company has not yet announced when the new Sedona will be available – Kia refers to the Carnival here. This seems unlikely, as the Carnival Hi-Limousine has become a favorite vehicle for South Korean politicians and celebrities who want to be seen in a domestic-branded vehicle. Crossovers and SUVs are still popular and something like the Hi-Limousine might be a great addition to your portfolio.
