The Korean automaker wants British customers to have everything or nothing.
The best thing about buying a car? Having many options. This allows you to choose whether or not you want a particular feature on your car, and which trim level best suits your needs. However, Kia UK is not so sure. The Sorento will be available in the only ‘Edition’ trim starting July 2022.
The new Kia Sorento Edition ‘Edition’ replaces the previous 2, 3, and 4 trims in the SUV’s range, and consolidates them into one variant. This is good news for the Sorento buyer who doesn’t want to make a decision. You can choose to get a fully loaded Sorento or none at all.
The ‘Edition’ trim is a continuation of the top-spec 4 trim. Kia has packed everything into this seven-seater. You will find cool features like Nappa leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof.
The Korean midsize SUV comes with 12 speakers, a Bose premium sound system, a wireless phone charger, a 10 way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, an integrated memory system and lumbar support, an 8-way front passenger seat, front and rear heated seats, as well as front ventilated seats.
The Sorento ‘Edition” exterior comes with black accents that perfectly match the three options for body colors: White Pearl, Graphite and Midnight Black. The standard 19-inch wheels are available for hybrid and PHEV models. Only the diesel Sorento gets a set 20-inch alloy wheels. The Sorento’s UK exterior and interior options may not be available, but you have the option of choosing from a variety of powertrains.
It is not clear if Kia will offer the same service in the US. We’ve checked, and there are still options available at the time we write this.
