One dealer offers a huge $12,000+ discount
There are many great deals if you have been saving up to purchase a Stinger. The CarsDirect team discovered that Kia has a $3,000 dealer cash incentive, which could mean you can save up to three grand on a new Stinger.
Do not get too excited yet. Dealers aren’t required to pass the money on to customers as they have the right to keep the profit. The $3,000 price cut available through September 3 applies only to the V6 model, while the lower four-cylinder model is discounted $2,000. The base Stinger 2.0L is priced at $32,990, while the 3.3-liter Stinger GT starts at $39,300 in the United States.
Kia’s Most Fashionable Car in The News:
You can combine the dealer cash incentive with a conquest incentive. Kia offers a bonus for customers who are coming from other automakers. The Stinger’s V6-powered version gets an additional $2,000, while the four-banger has its price cut by $1,000.
Combining both incentives can result in savings of up to $5,000 on a 365-horsepower Stinger model or $3,000 on a 255-hp model. This is provided that the dealer passes on Kia’s cash incentive. Cars Direct also mentions that some buyers may qualify for 0% financing for up to 75 months. However, this route will not allow you to take advantage of the dealer cash discount.
It seems that some Kia dealers may already be considering all the discounts and bonus offers to lower the Stinger’s cost. A dealer in Woodbridge, Virginia has a rear-wheel-drive Stinger GT in HiChroma red with an MSRP of $41,130. It’s being sold for $28,994. This is a huge $12,136 discount.
These price reductions are timely considering that Stinger sales in the U.S. are down significantly year-to-date. In the U.S., Kia sold 8,013 units in comparison to the 10,144 vehicles in the January-July 2018 period.
