McLaren’s high-end dealer that specializes in everything McLaren has also acquired the four-seat hypercar from Sweden.
Koenigsegg took the not-a-Geneva-Motor-Show by storm last month with the unveiling of the Gemera, a fully fledged hypercar that happens to have two rear seats. The Gemera is more practical than the Speedtail with its three-seat layout that’s reminiscent of F1 and offers the best way to transport your partner and two children. McLaren Charlotte, North Carolina has the first four-seater model from Sweden for sale.
The Gemera is still in production, so the dealer is selling a build slot. Koenigsegg It has stated that only 300 examples of the high-performance grand tourer will ever be made. The listing does not mention the price, but we know that Christian von Koenigsegg, the head honcho, told us. Top Gear The U.S-spec model would start at $1.7 million.
McLaren Charlotte is a dealer that focuses on Woking-built cars. However, it also offers other high-end vehicles for sale. Examples of relevant examples include a $194.996 Aston Martin DB11 AMR and a 124.996 Audi R8 Spyder. There is also a $284.996 Ferrari 488 Spider and a $399.996 Rolls Royce Cullinan, as well as additional cars from other brands that are too expensive for most people.
The dealer lists the Gemera with gray paint and orange interior. This could indicate that the build slot is for a similar spec to the showcar. The VIN number 001 is apparently on the Gemera, which would indicate that McLaren Charlotte was able to purchase the first production car.
The Koenigsegg Gemera’s four-seat layout aside, it is a stunning car thanks to its unusually long wheelbase (118.1 inches) of three meters. The engine is a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 600 horsepower and 442 pound-feet (600 Nm) while three electric motors are used to power the wheels. This gives it a total of 1,700 hp (and 2,580 lb-ft) and 3,498 Nm.
The Gemera can carry four adults and is large enough for them to use. It takes just 1.9 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h), on its way to 250 km/h in “record-matching speed.” Gemera’s dry weight is 1,715 kg (3,781 lbs) with a 15-kWh battery pack, which weighs only 70 kg (154 lbs). Christian von Koenigsegg claims that if it were fully electric, it would have weighed in at 2,300 kg (5.070 lbs).
These feats are not enough for the Koenigsegg, which is family-friendly, can also be used as an electric vehicle (EV) for 31 miles (50 km), and has a range of 621 mi (1,000 km) when the gasoline tank is full and the battery pack fully charged.
