Koenigsegg One-1 revealed with 1,341 HP and billed as the world’s first supercar

Koenigsegg revealed the One:1 highly anticipated production car that is poised to be the fastest in the world.

Koenigsegg revealed the One-to-One, which is expected to be the world’s fastest producing car.

The Swedish marque has built what they call a megacar. The One:1 delivers 1 megawatt of power, which is equivalent to 1,341 HP/PS (986kW) and jaw-dropping peak torque (1,371 Nm (1.011 lbft) at 6,000 RPM from a V8 aluminum 5.0-liter engine. The vehicle’s 1,341-kg (2,956 lbs), body is packed with all that power and has a magical 1:1 power-to-weight ratio.

The power is transferred to the wheels by a dual-clutch 7 speed gearbox and an electronic differential. This allows the model to run the 0-248.5 mph (0-40 km/h) in around 20 seconds, while stopping at that speed takes approximately 10 seconds. To stop at 62 mph (100 km/h), it takes only 28 meters.

Koenigsegg updated the rear triplex suspension by adding carbon bevel springs and active shock absorbers to it.

The One:1 is 19 inches front and 20 inches rear on carbon fiber wheels. It has custom Michelin Cup Tires that have a speed rating 273 mph (440 km/h). The engine can be used with regular gasoline as well as E85 biofuel. The car’s weight is 44% front and 56% rear, similar to the Agera R.
