Lada previews Next-Gen Niva Offroader with New 4×4 Vision Concept

We can only wish that the new Niva will look as good.

AvtoVAZ is a Russian company that belongs to Renault-Nissan’s rich portfolio. It also owns Russian auto brand Lada. To preview the future Niva 4×4 offroader, the 4×4 Vision concept will be displayed.

Chief designer Steve Mattin created the study with his team. It is an impressive and modern prototype for an SUV. You may be familiar with the original Niva’s hood shape and rear fenders. However, the concept is entirely different. It rides on huge 21-inch wheels and has LED lights up front and at the rear. It reminds us a lot of the Dacia Duster but is much more rugged.

Lada previews Next-Gen Niva Offroader with New 4×4 Vision Concept is a demonstration of the potential for a unique, expressive and bold design in an SUV. It draws inspiration from the Lada 4×4 Niva.

Although technical details are not available at this time, the model is said be built on a “special platform.” It has a shorter overhang than the Duster and has a taller suspension. We can only hope that this solid looking concept will influence the new production Niva.

Although the powertrain underneath the car is still unknown, we do know that it has an automatic gearbox with high- and low ratios. The interior photos show that it has two screens, one for the infotainment system, and one for the instrument cluster. The car’s two-zone automatic climate control and Bluetooth connectivity along with cruise control feature make it a more luxurious and comfortable vehicle than the minimalistic Niva.
