Ferrari enthusiasts will have to wait for the LaFerrari successor.

Ferrari does not currently have a hypercar as a successor to its line of models such as the F40 , F50 , Enzo And LaFerrari . Now, rendering artist Rain Prisk Now imagine what this machine could look like.

Prisk started with the 2016 Ferrari J50, but modified the limited-run model to make his own machine (see the comparison below). The low-slung nose has tiny LED slits in the headlights and circular lamps at the lower fascia. The vehicle’s exterior view is enhanced by the large windshield and narrow pillars.

The roof snorkel has multiple functions. The snorkel on the roof has the obvious function of sending air to an engine. It also forms the top of a fin on the rear deck, and supports the tail wing.

Fans of Prancing Horse need to wait for LaFerrari’s successor. A slide from Ferrari’s 2018-2022 Product Plan shows that the company is funding the development of the new hypercar, but it won’t arrive until after 2022. The vehicle promises “the apex in performance and technological innovation,” with tech that will eventually trickle down into more readily available Ferraris.

The Prancing Horse plans 60% of its models to become hybrids by 2022. This plan suggests that the new hypercar will be electrified. However, don’t place your bets on a model with a V12 combustion engine such as the LaFerrari. Michael Leiters, Ferrari’s technical director, says that he doesn’t see much future for large-displacement hybrid powerplants. He stated in March that if you want to reap the benefits of electrified powertrains, you must do so with downsizing.
