Lambo Design Boss: Electrified Cars Will Still "Look Like Spaceships"

Future Lamborghini supercars, despite being electrified, will still have an “emotional performance.”

Lamborghini is electrified just like the rest. It is expected that the Italian automaker will electrify its lineup soon. However, Lamborghini design boss Mitja Bokert stated that the design direction of Lamborghini isn’t changing.

Borkert spoke to Autocar at the Milan Monza motorshow and stated that Lamborghini will continue making cars with an “emotional performance”.

Bonkers stated to the British publication that they will always look like spaceships and will be inspiring. “They will also have the sound and emotion to touch you with whatever technology they have.”
We can expect future Lamborghini supercars with electrified Lamborghini to keep the same out-of-this world styling as the Lamborghini Sian FKP37. This limited-run supercar was inspired by the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio design in 2017. The car is already electrified using a low-capacity supercapacitor device. Future models will use a more traditional hybrid setup under the supposedly otherworldly design.

Lamborghini will launch its gasoline-powered vehicle in 2019. The complete hybridization of the lineup is expected to take place by 2024. The first Lamborghini EV will be available in 2028. It is expected to arrive as a 2+2 high-riding vehicle, then the second-generation Urus.

Borkert said that the switch to EV opened up design possibilities for the automaker. Citing
