Lamborghini breaks the global sales record for 2016

America is America’s largest market.

Lamborghini will be the next exotic automaker after Rolls-Royce, McLaren. Sant’Agata-based supercar manufacturer reports an increase of seven percent, to a total global sales of 3,457 units, compared to 3,245 units in 2015. After six years of steady growth, this is the first time Lamborghini has exceeded the mark of 3,400 units. This year’s result is 2.6% better than that of 2010.

“In 2016, Lamborghini has been in great shape,” Stefano Domenicali (chairman and chief executive officer) of Lamborghini stated. “The company achieved another record year in sales and exceeded key business goals. This record-breaking sales year is a confirmation of the strength and sustainability our brand, product, and commercial strategy. This is a great team accomplishment. It is even more impressive because we are simultaneously preparing for new models in the super sports car range and a company-wide quantum leap within our product portfolio – our third model line. Lamborghini currently has 135 dealers in 50 different countries. The 2016 statistics show that Lamborghini is balanced between the three major regions: EMEA (European, Middle East, Africa), America, and Asia Pacific. Each region accounts for about a third of global deliveries. All of them also set new records last year.
