Gallardo LP 550-2 can reach speeds of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
After the publication of leaked images as well as a new batch of spy photographs, Lamborghini officially revealed details about their new Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino balboni.
The new Gallardo LP 550-2, named after Valentino Balboni (a Lamborghini test driver), is essentially a rear wheel drive version of Lamborghini’s all-wheel-drive LP 560-4. Lamborghini has added new springs, dampers and stabilizers to ensure that the LP 550-2 offers a great driving experience. A revised e-gear transmission, which comes as a 6-speed manual, an upgraded rear axle with a 45% limited slip differential and a modified ESP that allows for greater drift angles when in CORSA mode, are just a few of the other updates.
The engine produces 550 horsepower (405 kW) from the naturally aspirated V10 5.2-liter engine. It has 10 hp less power than the LP 560-4 but the Gallardo LP 550-2 weighs 1,380 kg (3,042 lbs). The LP 550-2 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and then reaches a maximum speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
Lamborghini limited production to 250 units. They made the LP 550-2 standout by adding unique front and back bumpers, a more aggressive rear diffusor, and a retro-white strip running from the hood down to the spoiler. The Valentino Balboni is available in eight exterior colors.
It also has dark grey Scorpius tires that cover the contrasting brake calipers.
The interior features black leather upholstery with Polar white leather center console and a contrast white strip on the seats. A badge with Valentino Balboni’s signature, a transparent engine cover and a standard GPS navigational system with Bluetooth connectivity are just a few of the unique features.
Special edition Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni priced at EUR162,000 in Europe, USPS137,900 in UK and $219,800 US
