Is there a Huracan Evo Performante coming soon?
This is something totally different for Thursday. It’s not that is different, this is just Lamborghini Uracan Evo. We aren’t sure what is going on, but we can tell you that it’s and not typical Huracan . It’s not visible from the outside.
These images are from spy sources across the pond and are very interesting for three reasons. The number plates at the front and back identify it as a test car. The Evo-specific front fascia, which is taped in place almost like an afterthought, is also taped in. We have never seen such a cover for an engine on a Huracan. This is the most fascinating aspect of the photos, and it’s why we present them here for you to comment.
Our spy teams usually uncover some inside information about test vehicles captured on camera. But this time, we are completely unaware. Rumours are quiet, and if this is a precursor to another Huracan variant , nobody at Lamborghini knows. It looks just like the engine cover you would see on an Aventador – but it isn’t what we have seen on the Huracan so far. And what’s with the janky Evo front fascia. Although the rear fascia and trim look like they are from the Evo, the front clip seems to be a placeholder.
There are a few possible explanations. It could be an older Huracan test car, but it is being taken out for a spin. These things happen all the while in the automaker industry. But, we have a second theory. This could be an Evo Performante. That might explain the different engine cover and the rough-around-the-edges front fascia. This offering will likely include lighter components and aero tweaks at the front.
Let us know your thoughts. Is Lamborghini planning to make another Huracan, or is this just a prototype that’s out for a ride?
