The design element is Countach-inspired.
The Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, a new Lamborghini creation, was officially named. It will be racing in the 2022 season. The aerodynamics were tuned to make the body more sleek than it was before. The brand’s hexagonal design theme was also used to install slimmer LED lights at both the front and back.
To create a visual connection between the Super Trofeo Omologata and the front spoiler lip, carbon fiber fins join the front spoiler lip to connect with the Super Trofeo Omologata. This ultimate road-legal Huracan is currently trying to set a Nurburgring lap time record . The new air curtain intakes optimize airflow more than ever before, much in the same way as the carbon fiber rear wings which are visible from the Moon. You’ll find a little Countach inspiration in the frame around the taillights.
The EVO2 is not just about the aerodynamic package. Lamborghini Squadra Corse also has made modifications to the body panels. Carbon fiber has been used for the paneling on the sides and rear appendages. To create a smoother area, the rear fenders are now made from a single component that includes a portion of the side spoiler.
The front wheels have chunkier steel discs that are now 390mm in diameter, or 10mm more than the Huracan Evo. For better braking performance, the calipers have been upgraded with larger pads that cover a greater area. The 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 still produces 612 horsepower and is transmitted to the rear wheels via the six-speed sequential gearbox.
Lamborghini will be displaying the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 at the Paul Ricard track in Le Castellet, France on May 28. The European market pricing starts at EUR250,000 (or $306,000) before taxes. Evo owners will be able get a conversion kit for EVO2 specifications starting in the early part of next year.
Lamborghini has produced more than 400 Huracan Super Trofeos since 2014. Squadra Corse is optimistic that the EVO2 will increase the popularity of the race car and help it reach 500 units within a few years.
