Lambo’s quirky body wrap has been replaced with a splash of color.
Lamborghini showed off its track-only car a few weeks ago. It covered the SCV12’s body with a funky wrap that featured “Attention Fast Car” graphics in Italian. The makeup looks great as we are now thanks to Instagram user Futurecarsnow who sent us these colorful renderings.
Lamborghini Squadra Corse was able to achieve absolute track performance without having to adhere to any restrictions. The Superveloce Jota’s wild aero makes it look much more manageable than the SianFKP 37. The SCV12 was developed and built by Sant’Agata Biolognese’s racing section. This digital exercise is ahead of the official unveiling later in the summer.
We are eager to see the real thing without the body wrap. The vehicle rides on magnesium wheels and hides a carbon fiber chassis. This rear-wheel-drive track beast uses the most powerful V12 engine ever built. It produces an incredible 830 horsepower and is sent to the roads via a six speed sequential gearbox.
The Lamborghini SCV12 will generate more downforce than a GT3 race car thanks to the crazy aero. The front hood features a dual intake, with a central rib redirecting the airflow to roof scoop. This arrangement helps to increase static air pressure in engine’s intake manifold. It also improves airflow through naturally aspirated V12 to unlock greater power.
The SCV12 is Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s way of embracing the form follows function principle. Lambo is the only automaker capable of such an innovative design. McLaren’s Senna GTR was a similar design to Porsche’s 911 GT2 RS (991), but the SCV12 is our favorite.
