The Huracan meaner will lose approximately 90 pounds (41 kg).

The Huracan LP 610-4 Coupe weighs in at 3,135 pounds (1.422 kilograms). However, weight is not necessarily a problem as performance is a key factor. The skilled engineers at Sant’Agata Bolognese devised a diet that will be used in the Huracan Performante.

Officially called forged composites the technology developed jointly by Lamborghini, Callaway Golf Company and Callaway Golf Company is a carbon fiber composite material. It was first used on the Sesto Elemento in 2010, and the Huracan, a track-oriented car, will now have the same technology.

This teaser shows Lamborghini revealing the parts and pieces of the lightweight Huracan model. It will feature a rear wing entirely made of forged composites. The Performante will lose approximately 90 pounds (41 kg) by going to the gym.

A new generation of active aerodynamics with electronically-controlled motors will soon make its debut elsewhere. It goes by the name “Aerodynamica Lamborghini attiva”. Efforts were also made to optimize the dual-clutch seven-speed transmission to provide faster shifts.

These upgrades will be complemented by a modified version of the 5.2-liter V10 that is shared with the Audi R8. Naturally aspirated engines will be able to produce between 25 and 40 horsepower (19 to 30 Kilowatts) and 30-pound-feet (41.1 Newton-meters), respectively, more than the 610 hp (449kW) and 413lb-ft (560Nm) of the Huracan standard.

All of these hardware changes will result in the fastest production car on the challenging Nurburgring. The Huracan Performante is believed to be the fastest production car ever on the Nurburgring. It will run the Nordschleife lap in 6 mins and 57 sec.

It’s impossible to believe that the 2017 Geneva Motor Show is coming soon enough.
