The Huracan is the most aggressive.
The Lamborghini Huracan is a supercar that has been around since 2014. The Gallardo that it replaced was produced for ten years. It ran from 2004 to 2014. Lamborghini will send the Huracan off with a bang as it nears the end of its production run.
A teaser video posted to Facebook offers a sneak peek at what we believe is the Lamborghini Huracan SUPERTROFEO Omologato, or STO. Not only does the URL give away the upcoming Lambo’s identity (“LamborghiniSTO_Fb”), but we’ve been following rumors and finding pictures of Huracan STO prototypes since the beginning of this year.
Instagram user Allanlambo posted two photos in March of a camouflaged Huracan STO prototype. It featured a terrifying rear wing, dramatic bodywork and new wheels. Lamborghini points out that the Huracan STO will not only be street legal, but it will also draw inspiration from the Huracan SUPER Trofeo race car. Rumours suggest that the STO will get the Evo’s 640 horsepower (477-kilowatt), 5.2-liter naturally aspirated, V10 engine. However, we anticipate a boost in power.
The Huracan STO will experience a significant weight loss, just like other high-end performance models. The company is targeting a weight loss of approximately 330 pounds (150 kg), which would mean that the Huracan STO will have a dry weight around 2,804 pounds (1.272kg) using the Evo model as its base. This weight reduction should be aided by the extensive use of carbon fibre.
The new Lamborghini Huracan will be revealed to the public at 10:00 AM EST (5:00 PM CET) on Friday, November 18, 2020. For all details and a live stream, stay tuned to motor1.com
