Lamborghini Urus High Speed Run Shows Incredible Acceleration

It’s known as a Super SUV because…

Check Corsa mode; launch control: Check; unrestricted section of the road (we hope); check – time to do a top speed run in the SUV town. It’s the new Urus or, if you prefer it, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo with steroids prescribed by Sant’Agata Bolognese. Lamborghini’s first modern SUV is the spiritual successor to the LM002, and we can see it trying hard to pass as a Huracan, or Aventador. Well, almost. Although it isn’t as fast as the Lamborghini coupes, the Urus still delivers amazing performance despite its massive weight of 4,850 pounds (2.200 kg). This Lambo isn’t your average Lambo. It has five doors, five seats and an engine in front. There is also ample luggage space in the back.

The Urus must live up to the Lamborghini badge with the raging bull on its bodywork. This is evident in the video that shows the “Super SUV” performing in acceleration tests. It took the monster of 650 horsepower just 3.43 seconds to get from a standstill to reach 62mph (100 km/h), which is slightly less than the official time of 3.6 seconds. The digital speedometer reached 124 mph (200 km/h) in just 12.54 seconds, which is almost equal to the quoted 12.8-second time. The quarter-mile course was completed in 11.37 seconds. We can see that the Urus reached 188 mph (303 km/h), or a more realistic (181 MPH) 291 KPH registered by the datalogger. However, this is not the fastest speed. Lamborghini claims that its SUV can reach 190 mph (305 km/h).
