Land Rover Defender Gets Yachting Treatment From Carlex Design

The great blue sea inspires me deeply.

Carlex Design has a reputation for making special cars more special through the use of premium materials and exquisite design executions. The Mercedes AMG G63 was elevated by a Polish aftermarket company with a few yachting design elements. The cabin was truly a work-of-art, with a touch of wood throughout.

Carlex Design incorporates the yacht design elements in the Land Rover Defender this time around – and we are impressed.

The Yachting Edition is based on the five-door Land Rover Defender110 off-roader. It comes in the same brushed-silver finish as the AMG G63. Carlex Design announced the special Defender edition on its Facebook page. It boasts “a perfect combination of off-road performance and reliability, as well as luxury marine style.”

The Defender Yachting Edition’s most significant updates are located inside the cabin. There are two options. The first is similar to the Merc SUV – it has white upholstery and a variety of wood accents. The cabin even has wooden materials. This fits in with the yachting vibe Carlex Design is trying for.

We must admit that the other cabin color is very unusual. This cabin is more steampunk than yachting, with its combination of gold upholstery and a brushed silver accent. We don’t judge if you like it.

Carlex Design did not disclose pricing information for the Defender Yachting edition, but you can expect a high price given the many extras. The company can be reached to inquire – they are open during the pandemic.
