Remember that the European Corvette is less powerful than its American counterpart.
The 911 GT3’s latest 911 GT3 is powered by a flat-six engine with 4.0-liter capacity that produces 502 horsepower (374 Kilowatts) as well as 346 pound-feet (469 Newton meters) of torque. This video shows the seven-speed PDK. A six-speed manual is also possible.
Although the Corvette’s naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 is available, it has 475 horsepower (355 Kilowatts) as well as 452 pound-feet (613 Newton meters) of torque. The ‘Vette is available in the United States with 495 horsepower (369 kW) or 470 lb.ft (637 Nm). It comes with an eight-speed automatic.
The Corvette is unable to keep up in drag racing. The 911 GT3 leads the race from the beginning and holds it for the entire distance. Chevy is losing by a lot.
The 911 GT3 can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. The Corvette takes 3.7 seconds. The Porsche takes 10.6 seconds to reach 124 mph (200 km/h), while the Chevy takes 13.9 seconds.
The 911 GT3 takes 20.1 seconds to cover 3281 feet (1,800m) while the Corvette takes 21.7 seconds. It’s a huge loss for the ‘Vette.
We’d love to see the race with the Corvette Z06 taking out a 911 GT3. The 5.5-liter dual overhead cam V8 produces 670 horsepower (500 kW) as well as 460 lb.ft (623 Nm). According to Chevy, the car can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.6 seconds. It can also cover the quarter-mile in 10.6 seconds. These numbers indicate that the Z06 could race the GT3 and possibly even beat it.
