Finally!
The Nissan Titan lineup has expanded to include Crew Cab, Single Cab and King Cab body styles. There are also a few special editions and an extensive range of original accessories. It still lacks a V6-powered variant.
However, this is changing as Nissan spokesperson Kevin Raftery confirmed to AutoGuide that a V6 option for the Titan is in development. The V6 will be available alongside the current model’s only engine, the 5.6-liter naturally-aspirated V8, which produces 390 horsepower (291 Kilowatts) & 394 pound-feet (534 Newton meterss) of torque. This engine is exclusively mated to a seven speed automatic transmission. A diesel V8 option is available for the Titan XD heavy-duty truck. The Titan’s V6 engine will help increase its market share. There are many customers who need the Titan’s space but don’t want to pay more for V8 power. For example, the Detroit Three have half-ton pickups with V6 engines.
The cheapest Titan money can purchase today is $30,030. It comes with only RWD. While the base Ford F150 costs nearly $2,000 less thanks to its V6 engine, it’s almost $2,000 cheaper. The Ram 1500 comes in a lower price at $27,095 for a long-bed V6 RWD variant. We are unable to confirm the V6 engine that will power the Titan at this time, but we believe it could be the pathfinder’s DIG V6 3.5-liter. It produces 284 horsepower (212 kW) as well as 259 lbft (351Nm) of torque. This will power the Titan’s base truck.
