All future Hyundai models, from sedans to SUVs will take styling cues form this attractive concept.
New images from the Geneva Motor Show are now available at the gallery’s beginning.
The styling of Hyundai has improved over the years, and it appears that the company’s design team will take things to the next level. The Geneva Motor Show revealed the Le Fil Rouge, which means “common thread” and points to an exciting new design theme called Sensuous Sportiness. This is a modern interpretation for the 1974 Hyundai Coupe concept.
The new styling direction will be adopted by virtually all future production models of Hyundai, from sedans to SUVs. The concept is a sedan-like design with a sleek roofline. We would love to see a road-going version of it in the future. Le Fil Rouge is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cars ever to wear the Hyundai badge. We can already envision a luxurious Genesis model derived form the concept.
The interior is futuristic and has a central console that extends from the front to the rear. The interior was designed to be a four-seater vehicle with a large panoramic display that extends across the entire width. It is nice to have suicide doors and a generous use of wood throughout.
The extended wheelbase gives the cabin ample legroom for front and back occupants. A massive glass roof adds an airy feel to the cabin, increasing the feeling of spaciousness. Some people were surprised to learn that the Le Fil Rouge still features a steering wheel, pedals, and steering wheel. This is a departure from other recent designs. Hyundai was focusing on demonstrating a new design language, rather than its driverless car technology. Two passengers seated in the back are provided with wide displays that are embedded into the backrests.
Hyundai has yet to reveal when the first production cars will feature the new Sensuous Sportiness design language. However, it is hopeful that these will be available sooner than expected.
