The 30th anniversary edition is instantly recognisable by its Frozen Dark Silver Metallic exterior and dark chrome accents, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels in jet black.
Interior changes will be limited, but include Merino leather, Alcantara seats and an Alcantara-wrapped steering column. Dark aluminum trim is also included. This model will also feature 30th anniversary badges on the dashboard and seats.
The Competition package will include styling changes and a sportier suspension. It also includes a revised M Dynamic Mode, black chrome tailpipes, and a modified suspension.
The twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V8 engine is now 600 PS (441kW) and 700Nm (516lb-ft. This is an increase of 40 PS (29) and 20 Nm (14) respectively. The sedan should be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds thanks to the seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission.
The M5 30th Anniversary Edition will be displayed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Rumours suggest that it may be revealed at the M Festival next year.
