Hasbro and Lego are synonymous with childhood. Over the years, these two toy companies have become cultural powerhouses. They went beyond building blocks and plastic figurines. They have teamed up to create a transforming Lego Optimus Prime.

In robot mode, the Autobot stands at 15 inches (35 cm) tall. It shrinks to just 5.5 inches (15cm) when it turns into a truck. It can grow to 27 inches (10.5cm) in length, and 4.5 inches (12cm) wide. This is a large build and requires 1,508 pieces. It is the first time Lego has partnered with Hasbro on a product. The 19-point articulation allows the Lego Optimus Prime to change between its robot and its alt truck modes. This makes it very detailed. The best thing about this figure is its ability to switch between the two variants without having to rebuild each one – which is a great feature. The kit comes with more than just Optimus prime. The kit also includes the Energon ax and Energon Blaster. Prime can also store the Autobot Matrix of Leadership in the chest chamber. A display plaque is included to help you place the finished build next to it.
