Lewis Hamilton was involved in a Monaco car accident that delayed him from traveling to Brazil for the Grand Prix.

Through his Instagram, he informed his followers that no one was injured but that the car had been damaged by “very light contact” with a stationary vehicle. He also suffered from a fever.

Hamilton said, “Talking with my doctor and the team, we decided that it was best for us to rest at home and then leave a day later.” “But I feel better and am currently boarding a plane to Brazil.”

He also said, “But, I am informing because I believe we all have to take responsibility for what we do.” “Mistakes are inevitable, but it’s vital that we learn from them all and grow.”

Bild reports that the Brit crashed his Pagani Zonda LH. A low-resolution photo, which was allegedly taken shortly after the accident, shows a supercar and a taxi, as well as several officers. The Instagram user who uploaded this photo commented that he heard a car come down the hill, then heard it locking up under braking and then a Big Bang”. He then “went out and it” was Lewis Hamilton.

Although it’s not clear if the Zonda LH is actually the one involved in the crash, the photo shows that the left front fender appears to have been damaged. The wheel is also exposed.
